A Day on the Farm

These days, when we visit our family in Texas it's like visiting a farm...not the funny kind, but an actual farm (hee-hee). There were baby bunnies, geese, cows, bulls, a calf or two and horses...and of course the ponds. And the four wheelers. And the tractors. The kids were LOVING all the animals. Uncle Barry took them fishing in his pond and then we all walked around in the pasture and talked to the cows and horses. At Uncle Garland and Aunt Gina's house, they played with the baby bunnies and geese and rode the four wheelers through the woods back and forth between their house and Mee Ma and Pa Pa's house. The kids somehow didn't seem to mind the heat. They played outside the whole time we were there, and I must admit, I complained WAY more than they did. The only things that they didn't particularly like were the mosquitos. I promise some of them could have carried Carter and Marlie away...they were huge and they loved sweet Carter's legs. Poor guy had bites all over, but it didn't matter too much to him. He just swatted them away and then complained about the itching later. They didn't stop him from playing, though.
