Really??

While we were in Texas, we celebrated Marlie's 4th birthday!! Can you believe that my baby's already FOUR. WHOLE. YEARS. OLD??? I can't believe it. She has grown up WAY too fast. We had her birthday party at my brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Cheryl's house. The kids had such a great time and Marlie's party was amazingly memorable. We never get to celbrate the kids' birthdays with family, so this was quite a treat for all of us. The only thing that could have made it better is if Chad could have been there with us to celebrate. Did I say that the ONLY thing that could make it better was Chad? Well, that wasn't exactly true...Albuquerque weather would have helped too. We are SO not used to the heat anymore. We haven't visited Texas in the summer in years, and I completely forgot how HOT it is! It was seriously hotter than a pregnant mouse in a wool sock, but we eventually got used to it...the day we left...then we got back to New Mexico and nearly froze. Anyway--Marlie insisted on having a "Barbie Thumbelina" birthday party, so we pinked it up and added wings. She felt like a princess--nothing unusual, I guess, but seriously, do princesses actually sweat that much? Poor baby. Enjoy the pictures of our "big girl". Still doesn't seem real.
