Now that we are back in town, I am feeling the extreme need to deep clean...I've been organizing everything! While the kids were at school on Wednesday, I was in full speed, cleaning like a crazy person...that is until I came upon the "essence of Marlie", and I had to take a minute to laugh and remember how much I love that silly little girl. While picking up the living room, I found Marlie's new Minnie Mouse shoes on the coffee table, next to a comb, a tube of lip gl
oss (with glitter, of course) and a bag of mini oreos. Upon closer inspection, I realized that there was something inside one of her shoes...this is what just cracked me up...she had licked all the cream out of the insides of the oreos and put the cookie parts (soggy and all) inside her Minnie Mouse shoes. I can only imagine she did this in an effort to hide them from me. I just couldn't resist picking up the camera and taking a picture of my discovery. I immediately knew that the title of this blog entry AND scrapbook page would be "the essence of Marlie", simply because, even though she wasn't home at the time, I could just see her putting all of her favorite things on the coffee table, and then I could almost hear her laughing and making excuses for putting the oreos in her shoes. She is the girliest little girl I know...she never goes anywhere without her comb, lip gloss and high heels...and lets not forget the most important element...the OREOS!
